Go Flooring Steps Up as Hall of Fame Presenting Sponsor

Go Flooring is proud to have served as the Hall of Fame Presenting Sponsor of the 4th Annual Calvin Johnson Jr. Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic. Hall of Fame is the top sponsorship level for the event, and it came with real responsibility. That meant two foursomes on the course, prominent Go Flooring branding throughout the day, and a speaking slot at the pre-golf welcome reception.

Standing at that reception and explaining why a flooring company shows up for a cause like this was an honor. The Calvin Johnson Jr. Foundation, known as CJJRF, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered in Michigan and Georgia. Its Catching Dreams mission funds scholarships, book awards, football camps, and an annual educational conference for the students it calls CJJRF Scholars.

Our team came away from the day with a simple takeaway. The work this foundation does for young people in and around Detroit is exactly the kind of long-term investment we respect, because we spend our own days building things that are meant to last.

Inside the 4th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic

The Celebrity Golf Classic is the foundation's flagship fundraiser. Each year it pairs sponsors and guests with athletes and entertainers for a full day of golf, and proceeds go straight to the foundation's programs. The 2026 event was held at The Cardinal at Saint John's Resort in Plymouth, Michigan, a well-regarded public course just west of Detroit.

Our team was on the ground at The Cardinal for the full day of the classic, from the welcome reception through the final hole. As the Presenting Sponsor, Go Flooring signage marked the event, our two foursomes played alongside celebrity pairings, and we had the chance to meet families and supporters who make the foundation's work possible.

The setting fit the cause. Saint John's Resort donates its profits to charitable organizations, so the venue itself carries the same give-back spirit that drives the golf classic. For a day built around raising money for scholarships and youth programs, it was hard to picture a better home.

The Detroit Lions Connection Behind This Sponsorship

This sponsorship did not come out of nowhere. Go Flooring is an official partner of the Detroit Lions, and Calvin Johnson Jr. is one of the most recognized names in franchise history. He spent his entire NFL career with the Lions and was later inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which makes supporting his foundation a natural extension of a relationship we already value.

There is a through line here that matters to us. Detroit has welcomed Go Flooring as we have grown our work across Michigan, and showing up for a Detroit institution's charity is one way we say thank you. The foundation pours into local young people. Our crews pour into local homes. Different work, same city, same idea of leaving a place better than you found it.
